Embryo Screening

Extra chromosomes

Havin' extra fun.....

Aneuploidy is a condition in which an error occurs and an egg or sperm is missing or has an extra chromosome.

Having an extra chromosome is known as trisomy and having one to few is known as monsomy. If either a trisomy or a monosomy error occurs, the embryo may not attach to the uterus wall or may stop developing soon after.
